“We are happy living at Middleton Glen.  Perhaps the main reason is, the LOCATION.  We are close to stores, medical facilities, church and family.  In case we cannot drive, transportation is available here.  Everything is inside such as mail delivery, garbage pick-up and a place to walk so you do not have to go outside in inclement weather.  Mainteance work is done promptly and efficiently.  The building is securely locked which gives us a comfortable feeling.  Residents and staff are friendly!  There are activities and programs for all.”

"We lived in our own home in Seattle for 22 years, but wanted to be near our daughter. I had never seen Middleton Glen before moving here (only online), but Stacie, the Retirement Living Advisor, worked with my daughter consulting my preferences during the apartment renovation.

I found a good grocery store across the street, an excellent library, a hardware store with knowledgeable salespeople, two drug stores, and our bank all very close by. My hair stylist is right in the building! My husband who has spinal stenosis finds walking difficult, but gets exercise by walking the hallways and using the equipment in the Wellness Room. I have fun in the 3-day per week group exercise class.

There are no pesky people ringing my doorbell, no worries about yard work or maintenance, as much privacy or interaction as I desire, and a nice garage. I feel so safe here. Everyone on the staff is always cheerful and helpful and other residents are so friendly. I am glad we found such a lovely place for our latter years and would certainly recommend it highly.

“Two of my four children live within a few miles of Middleton Glen. The sincere friendliness of the residents was more than I expected when I first moved in. It's easy to find things to do that are of interest because the activity calendar is varied. Middleton is a beautiful city and convenient to all that Madison has to offer. I have discovered the Middleton Senior Center and all it has available. Having a personal driver five days a week is certainly a plus! It's great to have a healthy and delicious meal available five nights a week if I don't feel like cooking. I've lived here for just over 2 years, but honestly it felt like home from day one.”

Basic needs are also provided, such as trips to the grocery store, the drug store and for medical appointments. The weekly nurse visit provides health consultations to the residents. "My husband was an architect and we designed our home in the Hill Farms that we enjoyed for 36 years.  It was large 4-bedroom home and although we could have remained there having hired help inside and outside, we gradually began thinking about a smaller home.  We were under no pressure and we spent more than 2 years researching Madison's retirement communities.  We attended Middleton Glen's marketing meetings and were quite impressed with the floor plans.  We finally could visualize ourselves as residents.  My architect husband was impressed with Middleton Glen's design and quality construction and we both appreciated the flexibility we had.

Middleton Glen has exceeded even those happy expectations!  Since our move in June 2002, we have made so many wonderful friends.  This has been especially comforting to me now that I am widowed.  Our building is securely locked and our hallways are bright and cheerful. There are many activities available for fellowship.  Our privacy is always respected. 

Middleton Glen offers several other unique advantages.  It's location in Middleton is removed from big-city traffic & noise and nearby shopping is convenient.  Financially, Middleton Glen is the only retirement community that refunds 100% of the entrance fee.  Years ago, Middleton Glen was at the top of our list, and now, years later, it's still tops!  I'm so happy and proud to live here!"
